That shrink wrap hasn't been shrunk yet.. but it gives you an idea of how it tidies...

Yes, this ^^ is correct. You can not mix 10-speed and 11-speed components. Besides that, almost anything will work. If you're not sure just check the compatibility charts linked above ;).
