Youíre always going to wonder about the strength of the wheel due to a misslaced spoke. Better to just pull the spoke and weave it correctly, then true the wheel.

Are you sure that wasn’t a braze-on FD hanger that broke off and was replaced by a clamp mount? Maybe check some archival photos for Stowe SLX frames and see how they mounted FDs.
