Cargo pants and cargo shorts that have pockets with zippers or buttons...A small backpack is also great for carrying extra stuff.

In my 15 years of cycling and riding many 100 mile centuries in very hot humid weather I've never carried electrolyte powders.. I prefer real food, I just stop and eat real food.

Any tire of about 32mm - 45mm size with some tread is perfect for riding on Rails to Trails gravel. I would avoid slicks and choose a touring tire or cx tire for riding on any type of gravel
