Can you explain the purpose of the stoker's bar end levers? One for the rear rim brake, perhaps? What does the other one control? I've never seen a set up like that.

Great job to both of you! If that was an "after" photo, then the dry conditions made for a not so "filthy" event. Perhaps no need to even wipe down the tandem after the ride!

I am purchasing a touring bike with S&S frame couplers. I already have two S&S hard-sided travel cases for our tandem, which has 26" wheels and 1.4" tires. Those wheels fit easily in the S&S cases....
