i had rims that were very difficult to mount...

i had rims that were very difficult to mount tires. I pulled out the rim tape and put in a couple layers of Kapton tape. It made mounting tire so much easier. and it didn't cost very much.

The handlebar top is about 5 inches above the top of the saddle. It is for comfort. I was having lower back pain. This set up has made a difference.

I think Grant Peterson recommends 2 to 4...
