It is not missing the expander plug - its not in the design. Its difficult to preload without it and a stupid design by Canyon. The stem has to be tightened for preload and a plastic cover on top...

From all the bikes I've had ti, carbon, steel & aluminum - I prefer aluminum. Jarring but springy as hell! I may be the only one who thinks that.

I was thinking of that for my next build... Since I got my Merckx I am a fan. Even though its 9 speed its just frikin awesome. The bottom bracket and the hub on the rear tire spin so nice.
