I agree with the other posters that you should be fine on a 54. I'm 5'7.5" with an inseam of just over 30" and the 54cm frame is perfect. I've put almost 9,000 miles on my CAAD 10-4 and love it.

I wouldn't worry about it. I love my CAAD 10-4, and while I might have liked the Supersix too, I certainly got a lot of bike for my money and have no regrets after almost two years on it.

That's what I was told, too. I have a 2011 CAAD 10-4 Rival, and the LBS said the frame was identical apart from colors and components.
