steel versus Al on century rides or longer

I am considering the corsa and strada and felt that the strada might be better for long distance rides. Any comments from people with experience with both?

BlazingPedals: You have too many toys

Or put another way, you win!

When riding with the uprights, how do your V-Rex, M5, and NoCom compare? Is one better on a flat ride? Is one better on a rollers ride? I am curious since I have a...

I have a Rans V-Rex with a 20/26 setup and it...

I have a Rans V-Rex with a 20/26 setup and it felt twitchy to me at first (my first recumbent). But after 3 months of riding, I feel more secure going downhill on it than on my upright. That being...

It looks great. How much does it weigh? How well does the front wheel drive work? Is it more efficient? What about speed? Congrats on the nice bike!

Thanks for all your comments

I thank you all for your comments. Not sure if I am going to do it or not. I will try several tire combinations first and see how things progress (as I wear out the tires).

In the mean time, the...

406 versus 451 wheels on a V-Rex

Has anyone tried changing the 406 front wheel on a V-rex (2001) with a 451 wheel? The fork seems to have plenty of room. As far as I can figure, the crank will be a bit higher, but not that high. I...

Thanks for the suggestions

I actually like the praying hamster position of the arms from the very beginning. Maybe because an older V-Rex (this one) and a Rocket are the only ones I have tried. I probably will not change that....

M5 seat for a 2001 V-Rex

I have an older V-Rex with a 1.5 inch top tube covered with the 3-sided aluminum bracket. It has the old style skewer seat post attachment. I wanted to change to the M5 seat (or something similar)...

Great V-Rex

Is the V-Rex faster with the fairing on the flats? Is it slower uphill because of the weight?

Thanks for the great picture.

Regards,
Zoltan

Just got a new V-Rex-I have questions

After riding a friends Rocket, and after a bit of searching, I found a used V-Rex. It is a bit worn, but still quite nice. I think it is a 2001, or at least that is what the second owner said. As far...
