Steeper head angle which sharpened the steering. The stock suspension was quite terrible to be honest. I find the ride more comfortable now. The fork is quite compliant.

Fat city / road tires would work well. If it is just hard pack with the odd pebble. Full on gravel is another story.

I use the Conti CX Speed tires as mentioned above. Love em. Fast....
