rock climbing (mainly bouldering) don't think that benefits much on the bike but i have decent upper body strength that's probably good for mountain biking :/

How did you calculate your MHR in the first place? Maybe it's wrong, i've calculated mine and its around 190 but still i've gone as high as around 200. I can maintain 190 for some time, i doubt that...
