Nobody must use clipless pedals. But to me it let me use a lower gear with higher cadence without the risk of slipping, thus acceleration is faster. Of course a pedal can’t change my power output.

Wishing you a quick recovery. Sh*t happens. Always decelerate before entering a turn (especially the ones that you cannot see the end) and accelerate when you exit the turn.

if budget is unlimited I want a bike with aero AND ultra light weight.

But if I have to choose, I won’t mind a 8-9kg aero bike.

Aerodynamics is more important than weight. Think about the weight of you together with the bike, 1kg is a minuscule difference. But to reduce 1kg of weight on the bike, it’s going to cost a lot.

just realised that the second clamp is on the seat post itself. I’ll install this seat clamp too then. My original one also needs to be very strongly tightened so the Ridea one is a good choice.

it’s okay with the 52:11 gear ratio but of course I wish it could be faster with smaller smallest gear at the back. But I would have to change the freewheel so the Shimano set is a good choice....
