I agree (at least on the $100 Ironman)... the $200 Comp TA I felt was a fair deal (it is in near perfect condition though). I'd have to say $150 for the frameset/fork is about as much as I'd expect...

Thanks for those suggestions! I like the Ritchey beacons, but the Surly truck stops are an interesting choice as well - great to have a few good options!

Hi Frkl - I originally had 38c tires on there (just some old hybrid tires I had to start with, but not very knobby) ... probaby could get away with 40c, depending on the profile and tread.

I just picked up one just like it for $50 - it's Reynolds 531, possibly 1980-1. Being optimistic, I'll say it might be worth $300... but I'm a hoarder of bikes, so I'll never know!
