Yeah, you are absolutely right. My 3mi 6% climb today came in at just under 1000' (according to GPS). Average pace for me is 9-10mph on a good day. Not bad, but I'm just an average cat3 lady :-)

I did a 3mile climb today at an average grade of 5.5%. It took 17min. That is pretty standard for me. I've climbed it faster and slower. Fastest time was 15min, slow times at around 20min.
