Skip the Shimano specific model. I have both. Only reason to do Shimano is to not be limited to chainring SIZE if you can't decide on 110 vs 130.

BTW what size frame are you on? Cannondale seems to run large.

Weight doesn't seem to make a whole lot of difference....assuming they roll the same and have same tires/tubes, but you may notice the height a bit in the wind.

Just put grease in your freehub. That should quiet it down. I have a cheap one I did this too and it's silent. Normally I remove all the grease as I like the noise :-)
