Isn't there something to be said about the forward momentum of a fixed gear that makes it harder to lock up the wheel? Especially if you don't take enough/any weight off the back.

Their site said they each had two gearings. If you look at them, the big ring is always constant. It looks like they just had two cogs, one on each side of a flip-flop hub. They weren't swapping...

Foot retention is a must, not just for skidz, but for riding fixed in general. Whether it be clips & straps or clipless, get something. Your shins (among other body parts) will thank you.

I see them a lot in Memphis. A lot of homeless guys have these old road bikes, don't know from where, and they're bars are often rotated up like that. No adjustment to brake lever...
