Just bought a 2005 Specialized Allez Triple.

What's the deal with discs anyway? I mean aside from the benefits in rain and mud. Isn't there more leverage out at the rim to get the wheel stopped?

Think I want to be lower. My back isn't bothering me so I don't think I need a more upright position. As it is it feels like I'm sitting in a chair upright trying to pedal and it isn't an efficient...

I've seen the H and Crazy bars. They look like they would be uncomfortable with hands at the outermost position? Just putting my arms out in front of me and cocking my hands to the side seems like an...

I can tell already that I need more hand positions. What kind of bar ends, adapters or handlebars have people put in their hybrids?

I'm almost wishing for dropped bars. Seems I wish I could lean...

Phone vs computer?

What's the consensus? I'm new to this. I understand I need a speed/cadence sensor, and that I MIGHT need some type of adaptor (ANT?) to use it with my iPhone 6. With all the apps and GPS available...

Hybrid vs. road bike - what are the real differences?

If I put drop bars and narrow tires on my $600 hybrid, how much different is it than a road bike in the same price range? Is the frame geometry all that different?

Conversely, how much different...
