I am getting ready to turn 76, and each year the decline speeds up, but still enjoy riding, have been doing this for 40 years and don't plan on quitting , much slower but still enjoyable.

yes living in Knoxville, we have the four seasons but no drastic cold, I am sure we adapt to our conditions, lived in the Dc area years ago, after the military, you also have humidity in the summer...

I am 74 and what I do is to lay my bike over towards me, and put my leg across the bike then straighten it , not sure if that would work for you, give it a try

I like that , will be 74 in February.I live in east Tenn. and it has a tendency to be very cool to cold that time of the year.Still doing over 5,000 miles a year

yes, they get steeper at age 72, especially if I haven't ridden then in several years, I still like to ride on gravel roads in Cherokee National Forest, but there are lots of hills, still enjoyable

I totally agree about biking and exerise keeping young at heart. I will be 70 in February and hope to ride around 5000 to 6000 miles next year. Hoe you have a Merry Christmas and a great biking year.

Try using some form of electrolite replenishment drinks or tablets. When it gets hot and humid in east Tenn. you really need this. Good luck
