contact a bike shop near the seller and see if they will pack the bike in a box. Usually two single bike boxes taped together. Then use bikeflights or shipbikes to arrange for pickup and delivery.

Not a very complicated hack, but it has worked well. Our travel tandem has four Topeak QR quick-release water bottle mounts ($8 ea on Amazon.) I mounted an Xlab Mezzo Cage Pod ($14 on Amazon)...
