I find I really drink a lot on rides, if going by what I read others do. That said, I use camelbak packs, and if it's going to be long, I freeze a bottle or two depending on bike capacity to refill...

Day 3, trip completed. Beautiful trip the whole way. Interestingly enough, from the riders I saw, the "over 50" group easily outnumbered the youngins by at least 4 to 1, probably more....

Truly depends on the surface as everyone said. I've ridden 25 and now 28mms on untold miles of packed dust/gravel trails, and they do fine. Unless it's made of old ballast stone, the road bikes work...
