I've always just thought about 'balls between two...

I've always just thought about 'balls between two surfaces' and never really thought about the 'cone' part of "cup and cone" bearings. That makes complete sense- thanks again!

I prefer one size too small. In general I am long legged and I find going a size small helps with the geometry reaching forward- and I can always use a longer stem to get everything just right.
