No need to envy just go ahead and do it. Save up some money and live the dream. The nice thing with single speed and fixed gear is that you can get pretty nice parts for not a ton of money....

I probably wouldn't put much into that bike. It is a pretty bottom of the barrel bike to begin with and if needs a lot of work and parts the cost just isn't worth it unless you have way more money...
