Yeah, I'm trying to mix up the intensity, at the very least. Last year, I fell into the habit of doing ride after ride at an upper-Z2 pace, for just weeks and weeks. Wouldn't get my HR up into Z4 for more than a few moments, if at all. I'm trying to mix in a 90% day once a week, and it actually seems to be happening, much as I don't love it when it's happening. Also trying to keep the 50+ milers to maybe once a week (that's working out less well.)
My inner chubby guy likes food (a lot) so whether fast or long, it's +9,000kJ a week or else.
