Back to Sequoia country again today. This time I took Bear Creek Road, 16 miles at 6.3% average gradient, but the steepest 1/4 mile is 17.75% and the steepest 1/2 mile is 13.5%. 33rd toughest climb in the US, according to PJAMM Cycling:

Nice cool breezy day in the mtns today, I found myself standing in the sun often when I stopped, rather than in the shade like I usually do during summer. Fall is coming. I love riding my 80's Univega when temps are in the 80's too.
