I've been snowboarding for twenty four years. I've never been on skis. I'm from a BMX/skate background, so boarding made more sense when I moved here.
I worked with a guy who skate boarded from childhood and @ age 45 he started having tendinitis in his legs from all the sudden loading of jumping, tricks, etc. He started riding mountain bikes and I went riding with him a couple times and he did fine, even on some tough climbs.
