I could do 9 miles faster on a normal pedal bike. Once I caught a flat tire right next to a bus stop with about 15 people waiting. I got the tire fixed and on my way while those same people were STILL standing there. And buses can't split lanes in heavy traffic and generally wait for red lights, not to mention all of the normal route stops. I can easily cover 9 miles in 35-45 minutes even in heavy gridlock. Door to door. Easy.
