I'm no tri-guy but it's 100+ degrees here and a 30+ mile ride might be 3 water bottles, not 2.
Convince me I don't need the water or give me a rec on what under the back seat water bottle holder is a good deal.
I would never suggest anyone underhydrate, but the other thing you can do is to identify water stops, where you can refill. My usual ride has one at 10 miles from home, a couple around 16 miles, another at about 25, then I pass the second set at about 40 miles, and the last one at 46 miles. But the last 10 miles, nothing. So I have to remember where to refill.
