Even their complete bikes are great values though. When friends or family are looking to buy a bike, I always tell them to at least look at Jamis before they buy something. I also advise them to buy steel, but that's just me.
The bike shop guys really pushed this one for beginners into road biking. It's been a great first road bike for me. So much so, that I plan to keep it until I break it. Changing out components is fun too, allowing you to see the difference each part makes.
