My wife started buying the skout bars for our son and the little bars work great for me on a longer ride.

they get a little soft in the summer.

and it was mentioned earlier but I liked the powerbars (wasn't cycling at the time) when I needed something before class in college. They were sold in the food court and student store.

I think my favorite was the cinnamon apple and you could flick the wrapper back and forth by holding it on one end and you'd consolidate the bar into a block on the opposite end.

the shouts are organic but have a similar softish body similar to the power bars, but not as gritty.
