My 1980 Motobecane Grand Sprint has the same tubing and I ride it all the time. It doesn’t seem very heavy to me and yet plenty strong with no movement in the BB when climbing , so fine for me. Motobecane had good quality bikes from our experience . My daughter also has a Gran Jubile’ from the late seventies , it is a mixte, I am storing that one as well . So that makes three in my stable and all good bikes.
My main ride lately is my grand record but this was just fun and so original.
