A couple of times a month I read about a cyclist or pedestrian being killed in DC by a motorist. For cyclists it's nearly always by right turning drivers when the cyclist is moving straight through an intersection in a bike lane. For pedestrians it's usually if they are "jaywalking" but even people in crosswalks obeying a signal are frequently hit.
