The morning started out OK but wildfire smoke drifted in by the time I got into the lower Snoqualmie Valley.
I slowed down and took it easy, stopping to take pictures every now and then.

Passing by the Old Weyerhauser Millpond on the way to the lower Valley.

The colors so far this fall have been muted, the exception being this street in Snoqualmie Ridge where I cut through the housing development to access Lake Alice Road.

I went this way so I could check on Fall City’s Billy Bones.

I stopped at a cafe in Carnation for something to nibble on before heading home on the Snoqualmie Valley trail..

The smoke wasn’t as bad when I climbed back into the upper Valley in the afternoon.
