You missed the point, and that is if a person needs to "win", then they are just needy and nothing more. I agree with whoever said it is not whether you win or lose, but how you play the game. There ARE differences in ability due to age and sex. And people do like to compete. These innate differences is sort of why 15 year olds should not and cannot compete against a 65 year old or for that matter, women against men. It is called fairness and has nothing to do with capitalism
Why someone would like about a 5 or 6k run or marathon time is beyond me.
