Back where I used to live, the popular vernacular for this kind of thing in general was (still is) referred to as
'The Seattle Freeze' - and it's a true phenomenon.
I think it's just a lot of people in a smallish space going about their business, doing what they do. Me? I always
return a wave, even if I don't always
initiate one.
Either way, I'm easy; sometimes I'm out on the bike, just trying to take my mind off things. I suspect others are lost in their own world in the same general sense - both on and off the bike. But I feel ya, Van.
