I fought it for years I was finally put on allopurinol a few years back. And I haven't had a flare up since. I still won't touch chicken liver I love them but if I ate them I might as well go ahead and get out my crutches. Be aware of the fact that I had surgery for bunions that had extra bone build up from gout.
Tart cherry juice helps too
