My Trek 750 started out life as a hybrid, but now it has drop bars. I can put fatter tires on it and turn it into a gravel bike, with no change in brakes required. Obviously you do need different brake levers, and of course shifters.
Yes, that’s what I meant. Different brake levers and I guess shifters. And I’m unsure of how this stuff works, but I thought it was also possible that road style brake levers might have different pull requirements than flat bar ones
