I think I can clear up at least one question… no, these hoods do not look any better in person, or in natural light.
I found myself sitting at the top of a hill this morning (at the “domes”), relaxing, recovering from the climb, enjoying the beautiful weather.
A rider then zips by, and I get a glimpse of the salmon colored frame as it goes by.
But once the rider makes the U turn at the end of the road, I am greeted by those rather loud pink brake hoods.
Yes, it was Classtime. Choking back the gag reflex, I introduced myself and mentioned about seeing “the hoods” on bikeforums.
Turns out he is a great guy, though some comments about Eroica and 45/21 gearing put me on guard.
On the other hand, the hoods were clean and like new!
