Don't know. The Dr. has done 100s of them, so I'm relying on him to do it right. I do have ischemic heart disease. He says his failure rate has been around 1%, had 2 cases where the wire punctured a blood vessel and required surgery. I figure if I'm going to ride my bike up hills, ablation is probably the safest option. Verapamil cut down on the resting PVCs but didn't have much if any effect on the vTach. Apparent HR would go nuts if I held anything over a 120 HR. Stopping brought it right back down, so far. My pacemaker is set to a max of 130 HR, which is OK with me. That's close to my LT. Not going to be a sprinter anymore.
