I don't think you can use an SPD-SL cleat on those pedals.
Are you certain? I know the Shimano cleat looked very similar to the LOOK Delta cleat…but I don’t recall them being interchangeable. Now that I think about it…I recall years ago trying to clip my Deltas into a Shimano pedal. It kind of ‘snapped’ into place, but then it didn’t really hold under pressure.
