That's a bit of a shame, the paint looks original and in good condition. But it will look great in orange too and not a colour I see often on Motobecane out there in the wild. I was always planning to have 3 French bicycles: one blue, one white and one red. The idea was Motobecane, Peugeot and Gitane, it's going to be 2 Moto and one B Carre. I seem to always end up with blue ones (and got another blue frame on its way now). So I will be definitely repainting 2 of them (one in red metallic, one in silver metallic or white pearl) One of them requires some minor work by a framebuilder (which will mess up the paint, not in a great condition anyway) and the other one has flaking chrome which has to be blasted and painted over, so might as well do the whole frame.
