I didn't know the p9 also could later take a 10speed later on. I guess the 3kg weight difference between both comes not from the frame but mainly the use of lighter components?
I know this comment is 8 years too late. But as the owner of both bikes. I have to put you right on the weight of each one. There is NO 3KG weight difference. The X10 weighs 21.6lbs in its out of the box form. The P9 weighs 24.2lbs out of the box.

That means the P9 is 2.6lbs heavier than the X10. Not 6.6lbs (3KG).

The X10 has a better spec than the P9 using higher quality components overall. Especially the wheel set. Which is kinetix pro X. With American classic hubs. About as good as it gets. Those wheels are basically frictionless. And will spin for ages. I timed the front wheel at over 13 minutes once.
