23212454]I needed a hitch receiver for the Escape but am cheap so I bought a $100 2-inch "class 3" off of eBay and spent an hour or so laying on a rough driveway installing it.
It went on without too much drama, but doesn't quite fit right so once everything is all torqued down it's crooked
Need to get some washers to use as spacers and have a bunch of fun with a rat tail file to get things all lined up, but hey, I can't see it when I'm driving so it's not a huge priority
This reminds me. We had my 88 Nissan King Cab 4WD for six years in the coastal southern Belizean rainforest. The hitch welded itself to the receiver. We had the truck chained to a tree and the hitch chained to a tractor and a brave soul in the middle with a sledgehammer. Nothing.
