My main ride is a 2000 LS Vortex. I bought the frameset used in 2003 (eBay), built it up with 10sp Chorus, and have put ~100k miles on it since. It was my dream bike when I bought it, and remains so to this day. Depending on what Campag does in terms of releasing a more reasonably priced wireless groupset (and hopefully with a rim brake option), I'll either stick with 10sp for now or snag a 12sp Chorus mechanical/rim brake groupset while they're still available. 10sp is great, though - but as I age I like the option of extending the lower gearing while maintaining close ratios at the top end - an 11-29 12sp cassette with a 48/32 crank sounds almost perfect.
