it was just a suggestion based on what I've seen. whenever I tried with my planet bike super flashes I couldn't get the angle good or I couldn't get the clamp to hold. I don't remember. I actually have rear racks on all my bikes which is good for mounting lights, all sorts of ways. in one case I made my own simple bracket

mounting lights is similar to mounting fenders in that sometimes one has to be creative & crafty
