I have thought about consulting someone else. There is a group by UT Hospital. Not sure how much they are worth, but I checked Google reviews recently and one or two of the doctors had negative ones.

I have an appointment with my existing doctor in 2.5 weeks. I'll wait until then to reassess. My impression is that he's an OK doctor as far as treatment plan goes. But he's not easy to have a discussion with (seems kind of scatter-brained), and they are scheduling the appointments too far apart, given my issues. And seeing his noctor is a waste of time if things aren't going well.
