Took the cargo bike this morning. Last year my wife and kids were riding this bike and got struck from behind by a green Kia (story here). I pieced it back together and now use it for commuting (kids got a new cargo bike). The Kia lives a few doors down from me, has also been pieced back together, and is also used for commuting.

This morning the inevitable finally happened, and we commuted at the same time. Same bike, same car, same road. I got overtaken within 100' of the crash site. It felt kinda surreal. But it also felt like just another commute. We both travel this road every day. We both pass the crash site every day. It's nearly back to feeling like any other road now. The emotions have calmed down a lot in the last 11 months. So I guess we're healing well.

We'll see how our crash anniversary goes.
