I lived with a single car here in Denver. We have great public transportation and bike paths but need to have at least one car for mountain excursions. That being said both my kids are homeschooled and my wife and I work from home.
Ultimately, I think working from home is the game changer here as it was such a waste of time sitting in traffic each day when I used to be in an office.
