An example of a stem angled up:



It's 6 degrees up. The amount of drop is where I want it for the riding we'll do with the bike.

I could get the stem flatter by flipping it down, and imporve the look a tad. But running a cf steerer on a tandem, I prefer to minimize the amount of spacers.
