I wouldn't even try to polish it out. All you'll do is wear off more of the surface finish around them. And if that's clear coat, then you'll have a larger area of finish mismatch.

I might just clean it good, maybe with a soft toothbrush and see what it looks like afterward. Maybe dab a little color or clear coat on it if it looks like the layers might peel. I don't think that looks like the layers will peel though.
