For my birthday I'd wanted to do a century on five different bikes; I got 80% of the way to my goal but ran out of daylight
Started with tubulars and some tight gearing:
Then it was more tight gearing, a different saddle, a flat, a walk to get it fixed....
This one was reliable and fast and perfect for getting to the 60 mile point:
And lastly, I saved my best-geared bike for what I knew to be the finale. I only just got home as it was getting dark:
So basically I spent my 58th riding a bike all day long; no complaints
Edit:
I am seriously in like with the image quality of this newly-acquired SD 790 IS. Hopefully I can be more careful (dropping my 520 HS set it on the road to ruin) and get a long life out of this one!
