It is a downer for someone like me coming from the relatively quiet Shimano free hubs. But I've gotten so use to it over the last year and a half I'd forgotten about all the noise I now make.

It wouldn't be a no for me though if I had to buy a noisy freehub. But if they build them with something quieter, I'd pay more money to get them with that hub. But not much more.
I disliked the noise when I went from Shimano to DT Swiss. Then I just got used to it.
